A well-established brand in the accessories market, known for blending function with fashion, is seeking a driven D2C Trading Manager. With a strong focus on sustainability, stylish designs, and creating weather-resistant products, the company has seen rapid growth over recent years. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ecommerce or Digital Trade Manager to step into a dynamic role and contribute to the next phase of growth for a fast-expanding global brand with purpose.
The Role:
As D2C Trading Manager, your key responsibility will be to drive digital sales performance and enhance the overall online customer experience. You will play a crucial role in developing and executing digital trading strategies, analysing sales data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise product offerings and marketing efforts. In this role, you’ll work closely with the executive team to set commercial plans across the company’s UK and US websites as well as manage the marketplace ecosystem. Success in this role will require a balance of commercial acumen, data analytics, and an obsession with improving customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial sales plans and KPI setting across UK, US, and Marketplace channels.
Develop and manage a site calendar of trading events to optimise sales opportunities in alignment with the overall marketing calendar.
Propose and oversee promotions to drive profitable sales growth, particularly around key events such as Black Friday, SALE periods, and seasonal holidays.
Analyse sales performance and site trading metrics to identify opportunities for growth.
Champion the online user experience and customer journeys, spearheading a programme of CRO and website optimisation.
Utilise web analytics to track customer behaviour and share key insights.
Oversee on-site merchandising to drive sales optimisation.
Implement cross-sell and up-sell strategies to boost AOV (average order value) and ABU (average basket unit).
Collaborate closely with product, merchandising, and marketing teams.
Use data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
The Person:
Proven experience in digital trading or e-commerce, preferably in a fashion-related industry.
Expertise in Shopify Plus and a solid understanding of compatible tech ecosystems.
Strong proficiency in Google Analytics with experience in using data to inform decisions and develop business cases.
Knowledge of cross-border commerce and experience in the US market is highly desirable.
Understanding of traffic-driving strategies including SEO, PPC, Affiliates, and CRM.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teams and influencing stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
